Digging around in my “archives,” I came across this off-the-cuff cover of “Wonderful, Merciful, Savior,” I recorded back in 2007 with two vocalist colleagues of mine, Samantha (Pedigo) Kadzban, and Lindsey Johnson.
We all sang and played together in the chapel praise band at Hope College. Sometimes, after a rehearsal, we would have Dimnent chapel to ourselves and would lift our voices a capella into the rafters of that beautiful place, worshipping the Lord in song together.
Those moments were precious, and the memories are priceless to me. There are very few things in life that move me more than voices mingled in harmony. The more you sing together with someone, the more you learn each other’s voices, follow each other more closely, blend more intricately. That is what often happened singing with these gals.
